Beautiful Georgian Terrace Little gem in the west end of Glasgow. Newly renovated: quiet rooms:staff are very friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood has some lovely restaurants( v international) I recommend The Finnieston Bar & Restaurant ( seafood). Walking distance to the SEC. I’d say its 3star because there is no lift(elevator) and no restaurant. They have an arrangement for breakfast at a nearby hotel. Altogether a lovely stay! Would definitely go back!

Perfect and peaceful Clean, comfy and perfect location. Friendly and enthusiastic welcome. Wonderful shower and recently painted room. Top floor room so very quiet. Excellent location and value for money. We had a great long weekend stay. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Good size room with powerful shower. Staff very accommodating and bags were looked after in reception before and after booking in. Breakfast delicious for £10 each more across the road at sandiford hotel. Great location and very welcoming Sandyford Lodge was perfect for our trip to Glasgow. Anthony the owner made us feel really welcome. Great location at the right price The Sandyford Lodge was a perfect location for visiting someone at the University of Glasgow--great restaurants and pubs nearby and on the main bus line. We could also walk to the City Centre car rental location to rent a car for the weekend (when parking was free on the street in front of the establishment). The front desk is available 24/7 and the family is very accommodating. The key thing to know though in choosing Sandyford Lodge is that this is not a commercial brand hotel: there's no elevator, no amenities (ice machine, gym, etc.), and the rooms are minimalist. The beds are comfortable and there is a desk & chair, small closet (with plenty of hangers), TV, electric teapot, bars of soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower--but there are no extras (no table, lounge chair or couch, fridge, safe, iron, countertop, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer, decorations, clock, etc.). The windows are big and can be opened, which is very helpful as there is no room thermostat and the room's electric lighting options are limited. The one challenge was the shower, which is extremely tight (and the door would not probably allow someone who is particularly stout to even enter). Super convenient and comfortable. Helpful & interested staff. Our large room was on the ground floor (although the bed was just a double) and had a new bathroom. Parking was nearby in a covered car park but was cash only (there was an ATM nearby). Buses into town (as well as the hop-on-hop-off-bus) were so easy to access (just be aware you can't tap to pay for 2 people on the one card). Breakfast was across the road at the hotel and it included a good selection. Good value friendly staff. Reception Staff very helpful and friendly . Offered me a reserved parking space instead of paying £4 an hour on the street not their fault blame the SNP and the greens for over charging Tourist. Outstanding Experience! Comfortable, lovely, clean, outstanding location and just wonderful friendly, responsive staff, day and night. Kelvingrove Park is just a block away, museums, cafes, Sainsbury's, pubs, even city center, easy to walk to. Definitely will stay there again.
